Its all about an idea.
Conceptual photography is an art of getting your ‘concept’ across the mind of the viewer using just the contents of a photograph. The main thing about such a photography is that it is not at all instantaneous. The idea is already there in the mind, all the elements required to convey that idea is setup up an then that perfect photograph conveying the concept, big or small, comes alive. Many a times, computers are used to give the picture its final touch, but still many photographers prefer the old style in getting the real life on to the camera. Conceptual photography brings up the creative side of the photographer.
This doesn’t mean you have to spend hours or days thinking about a photograph in order for it to be a great image. For most photography we conceive an idea for the shots that we take from the things that we see and come across. But these shots are not specifically conceptual as they have not been planned out and have instead been created by taking the right opportunity.
