How to Design “Coming Soon” Pages with examples
Tasks that you would always think of before getting your website up and running
1. What should be your domain
2. Get the hosting Space
3. Buy the domain that suites your business
4. ……………….
5. Start thinking about the look of your website
But wait don’t you think you must have missed a step 4 in the whole
process.
Yes!!!! This is the step where you never pay attention. This Step 4 is
getting a “Coming Soon” page for the website. After buying the domain the first thing that you should get yourself involved is to get the correct coming soon page for website. The reason for creating a coming soon page is that once you register your domain and start to market the same that you are going online with the website name as www.xyz.com then many people would be visiting your site to check if it has been completed or not. If they visit the page and see “No Page Found” error it would surely look very unprofessional.
But that doesn’t mean that you should just put a small “Under construction” image and leave it there, because that would not create any excitement in the users that have come to your site to visit it again. For creating that enthu you need to design the “Coming Soon” page very sensibly.
In this post we would be outlining the main things that you should always keep in mind while creating a “Coming Soon” page.
Keeping it very simple
You may opt to keep your “Coming Soon” page very simple. But even that could be turn out to be a brilliant small master piece. You could use your logo theme(if you have any) to get your background color. Then you could also feature your Logo and Name along with a small “Coming Soon” message.
Give Information about your website
If you want to go a step forward then it is always better if you provide a some information as to what the website is all about. Doing this can make your users to visit again to get a glimpse of the website.
Option to provide the updates
You can go another step forward by providing your users with the latest development news by asking them to subscribe to your website.
Provide the deadline and the progress of the website
If you are sure as to till when the website could be built then you should always think of putting up the date on which the website would be up. Along with the date you could also provide with the timeline progress of the site. That could keep your visitors close to your site.
